super power

What is your Super Power?

Super power is the advantage over average, normalcy and mediocrity. When you find your super power, then you have found your life.

Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

This scripture opens our eyes to the super power and endless possibilities that we have. It lets us know that our potentials are limitless. We can do all things through the Super power of Christ residing in us.

Our ability as Christians now comes from Christ residing in us.

It is not by might nor by our power but by the HolySpirit.

The scriptures in many instances dhows us that it is not by our ability but by God’s ability.

This truth cannot be over emphasized. Looking at our main text Phillipians 4:13

There are 2 things here that will form the basis for this teaching.

  1. What it says
  2. What it did not say
WHAT IT SAYS

It says that you can do all things through Christ. Talking about your limitless power, possibilities and potentials.

It says that there is no limit to what you can do.

2Corinthians 10:3-6  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Ephesians 1:17-19  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Ephesians 3:16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

The scriptures above gives us a picture of this eternal power that we carry because of the presence of Christ in us.

Ability that enables us to do all things.

WHAT IT DID NOT SAY

In as much as it says that you can do all things through Christ, it however did not say that youshould do all things.

Paul on 2 different occasions in 1Corinthians6:12 and 1Corithians 10:23 says all things are lawful; (signifying that we can do all things), but all things are not expedient.

In as much as you have the liberty and power to engage in anything, it is however wise not to engage in everything that comes your way.

It is a question of: what should you be doing among all the things you can do?

So, what you are doing right now is it what you should be doing?

You can do all things but you shouldn’t do all things.

You can say all things but you shouldn’t say all things.

You can accept all things but you shouldn’t accept all things e.t.c.

The Bible says that there is a way that seems right to a man but the end is destruction. Telling us that not everything that you can do is right for you.

HOW THEN DO WE KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING?

You need to come to a point in your relationship with God becomes intentional and purposeful. This is where God begins to relate with you with the exact assignment that He wants you to do and not you seeking to know what He wants you to do.

God can inform you long before time what He wants you to for His people.

1Corinthians 9:26  I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

There is something God wants you to do now.

Isaiah 30:21  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

At the point of your confusion whether left or right, God provides information on which path to take.

This is how God communicates with you on what He wants you to be currently doing.

God can show you in details what you should be doing.

Jeremiah 33:3  Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

If we can call upon Him today, He will make know His will and plan for our lives.
