FULL vs FILLED
My musings on Deutronomy 33:23
And of Ikwuagwu he said, O Ikwuagwu, satisfied with favor, and full with the blessings of the LORD: Possess thou the west and the south.
What a beautiful attestation that kept me musing all weekend long. Surely the Lord caught my attention with this one particularly the part that says “…full with the blessing of the LORD”. Initially I made a mistake and wrote: filled with the blessing of the LORD, but He did not say so but rather He said: full with the blessing of the LORD. Now let’s run around this phrase for a moment in the next paragraph, shall we?
ARE YOU FULL OR FILLED?
When something is filled it signifies an action done in the past because the word filled is a past tense but when you say a container is full it carries both an awareness and a confidence of its current state. Let’s say I filled my car in the morning with petrol and now its noon having driven to work and a couple of other things. So, by noon I can say I filled the car in the morning. But if I go ahead and fill up the tank again by noon, I can confidently say with a sure awareness that my car is full with petrol.
FULL OF THE BLESSING
So, when God says about me that I am full with the blessing of the LORD, then I know with a confident current awareness that I am full with His blessing without depletion. Same way we talk about being filled with the Holy Ghost as a one-time event but encouraged by Paul in Ephesians 5:18 to be full of the Holy Ghost in season and out of season.
Is it not a beautiful reality to know that God has satisfied you with favor, made you full of His blessing and has given you possession of the west and south? This is indeed the green pastures that the Psalmist referred to in Psalm 23. I just can’t shake the feeling off.
In conclusion, this is indeed a February of satisfaction with favor and constantly being filled with the blessing of the Lord. Like God mandated you to be fruitful and dominate the earth, He has equally resonated that mandate here by commanding you to possess the west and the south and I would like to add the east and the north to it. Glory! There’s no stopping me in my conquest this month.
You are surrounded with favor.
So, before you sleep tonight getting ready to start the new week and month know that God has you covered and He has made all the necessary arrangements for you to walk into your divine destiny to fulfill your purpose at this time.
God bless you!
If you would like to know more about this God who has such wonderful things to say about you then make this confession: Father I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that Jesus has died for my sins. I believe in my heart that you have raised Him from the dead and I confess with my mouth right now that he is my savior therefore, I am saved In Jesus name, Amen.
